Just in case we forgot where we live and what time of the year it is, nature just reminded us. It’s August in Central Illinois. We are forecasted for a humid high of 99 degrees with a heat index of a whopping 105.

My sister accepted a job teaching middle school math in Palm Springs. Last month she visited, and we went apartment hunting. The temps were pushing 120; record highs. Going again this weekend to help her move in, forecast is for a more average 105. But with the low humidity the heat index will be 103… whee…
