Tonight I bought a new shredder to replace the cheapo $10 one I have effectively killed. This one can handle a much larger load and cross cuts; should last a while. To break it in, I spent 2 hours shredding our “shred queue” – resulting in 2+ large garbage bags of shreds.

Shuttle
Ana and I are tossing around the idea of travelling down to Florida for a day or so to watch the space shuttle launch when it returns to flight. I’ve always wanted to see a launch and I will probably be in need of a short vacation from work around then, so when could be a better time to go?
Right now we’re just kicking the idea around, but the more I think about it, the more I like it.

Construx
As of Friday, Construx and St. Agnes Homes went out of business. They had filed for bankruptcy about a month ago but couldn’t come to an agreement with their debtors and had to close shop. I feel sorry for the few remaining employees that ended up getting screwed by the owner, but of the companies themselves I say good riddance! They were the first companies I’ve personally encountered that continually lied to my face and broke everything they touched.
Bye, bye Construx and St. Agnes!

TGIF
It’s been one hell of a week at work and I’m utterly exhausted. So much so that it’s clear outside and I’ve decided to stay in and head to bed early; now that’s tired. I have more work to do this weekend but will just do that Sunday so I can get a day of rest in.

NBC
My suspicions are correct. 42.85% of NBC’s Prime Time lineup consists of Law and Order shows of some form (9 hours out of 7 days * 3 hours per day). And they are adding a new series to the lineup.. when does it end!

Pictures Coming Up
I spent 4 hours tonight using my new camera and telescope. I have roughly 1000 images to go through and begin processing; at first glance I have some amazing pictures. I’ll try and get a few online in the next day or so… stay tuned!

Powershot A510
I bought a new camera today, the Cannon Powershot A510. Its sole purpose will be to use in conjunction with my telescope – the reason I bought it is that it allows me to manually set the exposure length (up to 15 seconds) which my Sony doesn’t.
Provided it gets clear in the next few nights, I plan on trying it out.

WordPress (obviously)
If you’re here, you probably notice the new blogging software. I’ve had too much of a problem with spam comments in Serendipity and have caught some flak for disabling comments – so here’s WordPress. I did a quick and dirty import of the old data and, as you can see, a lot of html encoding problems were involved. I’m too lazy, so they are staying that way.
