I just received an email saying that I may be included in a class action law suit against Creative labs, the maker of my MP3 player. The plaintiff is suing because:
“plaintiffs allege that in the sale and marketing of its hard disc drive MP3 players Creative stated that purchasers of the drives would receive approximately 7% more usable storage capacity than they actually received and misrepresented the number of songs and number of hours of music the players could hold.”
Why do people waste time with these things. Isn’t the number of songs relative to the size of the MP3 file? Maybe I’m missing something, but this just seems ridiculous. I like my Creative product and would purchase it again, regardless of what they claim it can hold vs what it actually holds.
